Q - What's going on at Solid Rock?
A - we're all very shaken up at the loss of our brother Larry, but we're trying our best to keep things going in the office and on the web. While he was in the hospital in the first couple of months of 2008, Larry filled several notebooks with ideas for future CD releases and instructions on where to find recordings that have never been heard. So we're trying to fulfill his wishes and put these recordings together. It's going to take awhile, but we'll get new stuff out very soon.

Q - What CD's are actually available for ordering?
A - Only the ones listed in our online credit card store and / or printable order form. If we run out, we will remove it from both places. If we have it available for you to order, it will be there! Don't order anything you don't find in the credit card store or that you can't find on the printable order form.

Q - What CD is the song "________" on?
A - You can see the songs included on each CD in the secure online store. Once you're on the page of CD listings, scroll down and look for the title manually if you want to do it the low-tech way. Or you can type "Control - F" or "Command - F" on your keyboard and then the name of the song (or part of it) in the resulting window. For instance "Why should the", or "Doesn't Roll."

Q - Can I look around in the secure online store even if I don't have a credit card?
A - Sure you can. You can walk into 7-11 without actually purchasing a Slurpee can't you? Same thing with the online store. Take a look around. Browse for hours if you want. Nothing will be charged to your card unless you want it to be. And there's no guy behind the counter telling you to buy something or get out!

Q - What does Solid Rock do with the money from donations?
A - For years Larry has supported poor children around the world through different organizations such as Compassion and Christian Children's Fund. At the moment Solid Rock is responsible for 24 children. All these children are supported from the moment they join the program until they graduate at 18. Solid Rock is committed to continue the support of "Larry's children." Any amount WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. If you can afford to donate we will send you the special Sessions CD as a way of saying thank you. Larry made a CD with six new studio recordings like "Time In Babylon" and "All Fall Down." The Bonus Tracks include previously unreleased sessions by Randy Stonehill, Tom Howard, Daniel Amos & other Solid Rock artists and make this a real treasure trove.

Q - Is it okay if I, like, do a cover of one of Larry's songs on my CD, or print his lyrics in my church songbook?
A - Yes. With a few conditions. If you want to include Larry's songs in your church songbook or campfire singalong notebook then go right ahead. Roast a few marshmallow over the fire for us while you're at it.
If you want to cover one of his songs on your independent, self-produced CD (ie., not on a major label) the price is one hundred dollars ($100), an autographed copy of your CD, and info on who you are and where you're from.

If you are a "bigger" artist or band or are signed to a label, you must adhere to the accords of the Library of Congress Copyright Office Federal Register. 37 CFR Part 201 [Docket No. RM 2001-6] pertaining to Compulsory licensing, and pay the current performing rights statutory rates. Blah blah blah blah blah. Lawyers, Shmawyers.

IN OTHER WORDS, if you are making your own CDs in your basement, cool. Good for you. "Do it yourself" is the only way to go! Throw us a Ben Franklin, a copy of your disc, and a letter saying "howdy dudes"and we'll call it even. If you are a "professional mewsician" on a major label, then ask the company lawyer to fill out all the necessary paperwork so you can concentrate on writing some good songs or learning the midi-sitar or something. And if you are typing up the lyrics to "I Wish We'd All Been Ready" to sing around the fire along with "Kum Ba Ya" at your church camp-out, then don't forget your mosquito repellent.

Q - Can I send my demo tape to you guys? I want to be on Solid Rock Records or get your opinion on my toons!
A - Larry has gotten thousands of demos over the years, and only signed a few artists such as Mark Heard, Randy Stonehill, Daniel Amos, etc. So while we will listen to your CD, we can't promise to give you any feedback and don't want you to get disappointed if you don't hear from us, because you most likely won't. Sorry if that sounds awful, we just can't respond to everyone. We'd love to hear your music though. And there is always that one in a million chance :-)
