SEPTEMBER 30, 2014 - Larry, Backwards Masking, and Mountain Goats? - John Darnielle, singer of the indie folk rock band Mountain Goats has released his first full-length novel, Wolf in White Van. Darnielle has said the book's structure and title were inspired by backmasked messaging in Larry Norman's 1976 song "Six Sixty Six," in which a lyric played backward sounds like Norman is saying "Wolf in white van."

APRIL 2, 2014 - Only Visiting This Planet Inducted Into Library of Congress - The Library of Congress recently added the work of Christian rock innovator Larry Norman to the National Recording Registry, an elite collection of recordings marked for special preservation as “cultural, artistic, or historical treasures.” Norman is the first Christian rock artist to be chosen, making the list with his groundbreaking 1972 folk-rock album Only Visiting This Planet. Of the 25 artists selected this year, Norman keeps company with the likes of U2, Bing Crosby, and Jeff Buckley.
MAY 8, 2013 - Larry Norman's Final Recordings Released - Larry Norman's final recorded output is included on the new album by Thriftstore Masterpiece, a collective of Indie and Alternative recording artists helmed by Norman's brother Charles. The album revisits Lee Hazlewood's 1963 lost classic Trouble Is A Lonesome Town and features Norman, Pete Yorn, Frank Black (Pixies), Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse), Courtney Taylor-Taylor (The Dandy Warhols), Eddie Argos (Art Brut), Kristin Blix (Fjord Motor Company), and more.
